Trial Balance Report

Use the Trial Balance Report to verify individual account balances or to make sure that an out-of-balance condition is corrected. You can produce actual, budget, last-year, or forecast balances. The budget and forecast balances will come from the budgets and forecasts you set up in the account budgets and forecasts function.

  1. Use the Data Filter to select the range of filtering options or leave the filter blank to include all available data.
  2. Select an option to filter the report by Fiscal Date:
    • Select the fiscal period and year for the report to filter by Period/Yr . Select period 0 for beginning balances.
    • If you want to report across multiple fiscal periods and years, select to filter the report by Range, then choose the From and Thru period and year.
  3. Enter the headings you want to print on the report in the Line fields within the Headings section.
  4. Select the type of amount to print on the report from the View field. Choose from Last Year Amounts and budget and forecast Amounts from budgets and forecasts set up in the account budgets and forecasts function.
  5. Select the By Account Types check box, if applicable, to sort the report by account types. If you print by account types, subtotals are shown after each type of account.
  6. Select the Accounts with Zero Balances check box, if applicable, to print all accounts on the report, regardless of their balances.
  7. Select, if applicable, the Banded Rows check box to highlight alternating lines on the report to make the report easier to read.
    Note: Use the System Manager Print Preferences function to define the default setting for this check box. You can then override this default when you print the report.
  8. Manage the sorting order for account IDs using the Account ID Sort section.

    Output Output the report as a PDF.
    Send Save the report as a PDF and attach it to an email using your default mail program.

    Reset Set all fields to their default values.
